In 1927 the present rink was built combining an ice skating surface and two sheets of curling ice. With many changes and renovations it continues today to be the center for winter activities in Alexander.
A volunteer committee continues, as it has always done, to look after the rink and ensure that valuable asset to our community continues.
There is no regular curling but both men's bonspiel and a women's bonspiel are held each winter. There is public skating, organized recreational hockey.
The Alexander Rink along with the RM of Whitehead would like to thank Sunrise Foods for their generosity with the purchase of a new AED for use at the rink.
